Real Madrid Officially Part Ways with Alvaro Arbeloa, Opening Jose Mourinho’s Path
PELANGI4D – Real Madrid officially announced their separation from Alvaro Arbeloa after both parties reached a mutual agreement. This decision paves the way for Jose Mourinho’s return to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Arbeloa had actually announced he would leave his position at the end of last season. However, official confirmation from Real Madrid was only released through a club statement.
The 43-year-old has taken charge of 28 matches across all competitions since replacing Xabi Alonso in January. He has recorded 18 wins, two draws, and eight losses.
Despite achieving some positive results, Arbeloa failed to deliver a major trophy. Barcelona won La Liga , while Real Madrid were eliminated in the Champions League quarterfinals by Bayern Munich.

In an official statement, Real Madrid expressed its appreciation for Arbeloa’s contributions during his time with and coaching the team. The player, who made 233 appearances as a player, is considered to embody the club’s values.
“Real Madrid CF and Alvaro Arbeloa have reached an agreement to end his tenure as first-team coach,” read an official club statement. This statement also marks the end of Arbeloa’s tenure as senior team coach.
Madrid also expressed its gratitude for the loyalty, commitment, and professionalism Arbeloa has displayed since joining the club’s academy. Los Blancos also wished Arbeloa and his family every success in their future endeavors.
Mourinho Closer to Return to Santiago Bernabeu

Arbeloa’s departure has further fueled speculation about a return for Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese manager previously managed Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013.
During his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, Mourinho won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup. This experience earned him the trust to lead the club’s new project.
President Florentino Perez also promised Mourinho’s return during his election campaign. This promise was one of the factors that helped him secure re-election last weekend.
